These accreditations go further than fulfilling legal obligations under F-Gas Regulations. They demonstrate compliance with the highest levels of quality, service delivery, technical competence and customer satisfaction.
A current F-Gas Certificate is the basic legal requirement for anyone responsible for the installation, commissioning, decommissioning, maintenance and repair of stationary HVAC equipment containing fluorinated gases.
The REFCOM Elite scheme promotes best practice across refrigeration management, and our membership ensures we exceed standards laid out in the F-Gas Regulations.
Awarded on rigorous inspection, this voluntary accreditation shows that as contractors, we’re competent in the installation, commissioning, decommissioning and maintenance of refrigerant systems, maintain auditable documentation on proper control, and work by the most current legislation.
To further assure you of our skills, qualifications and technical competence, our engineers are registered under the ACRIB F-Gas Refrigeration SKILLCard scheme. To carry this card, operators must hold a current F-Gas Certificate and pass a health and safety awareness assessment.
As a Safety Scheme in Procurement (SSIP), our CHAS accreditation gives you peace of mind that our occupational health and safety and risk management procedures meet and exceed the required standards under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015).
As members of the BESCA Competent Person Scheme, we’re approved to self-certify air conditioning installations in regard to Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) and Part F (Ventilation) under Building Regulations in England and Wales. We can also recommend a number of electricians able to self-certify fixed electrical installations.
Our BESA membership gives us access to an industry specific knowledge pool and regular training, allowing us to build and retain a team of fully compliant, expert engineers committed to first rate standards of service.

In addition to our registered accreditations, all engineers employed by Loughborough Air Conditioning are encouraged to enhance their professional development with further institutional membership, inclusive of the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) and the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE), whose courses on topics such a psychometrics and ductwork design are regularly attended by our company Director.
