At Loughborough Air Conditioning we’re always looking to improve the way we work, and strengthen our commitment to excellence in service.
A key part of that is how we handle customer data. That’s why we’ve taken the steps to enhance our systems and processes - and to achieve Cyber Essentials certification.
Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme, designed to help businesses guard against common cyber threats.
Overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), it involves annual assessment of our IT systems, and requires us to implement essential security measures:
Firewalls: we've set up digital barriers to keep our internal network safe from internet threats.
Secure configuration: our systems are set up securely to make it harder for attackers to find weaknesses.
User access control: only authorised personnel can access our sensitive data thanks to strict controls.
Malware protection: we've installed strong anti-malware tools to catch and remove harmful software.
Software updates: regular updates fix known problems in our software, making it tougher for cybercriminals to break in.
In addition, we’ve invested in employee training on cybersecurity best practices, and developed incident response and business continuity plans for if any security breaches should occur.
Cyber attacks are all too common in our digital world. And if you’re trusting a business with your details, it’s important to know they take cybersecurity seriously.
Cyber Essentials certification is our way of ensuring data protection and privacy. By adhering to the Cyber Essentials framework, we offer peace of mind that your information is secure and confidential.
It’s one of a number of assurances we offer. With additional accreditations from the likes of REFCOM Elite, BESCA, and the government endorsed TrustMark, you can be sure our services are customer focused and exceed industry standards.
