This project came to us via a sound insulation company we regularly work alongside. Their client had recently acquired new premises, and needed to create a quiet, comfortable and ventilated environment for the radio station team.
We were brought on board to select and install split type air conditioning systems and mechanical heat recovery ventilation equipment that was reliable, efficient, and suitable for such a noise sensitive environment.
For temperature control, we chose the highest specification Fujitsu units available. These were selected for several reasons, namely their reliability and exceptionally quiet operation. They also use the latest R32 refrigerant, renowned for its energy efficiency and very low Global Warming Potential (GWP).
For mechanical heat recovery ventilation, we opted to use equipment from Daikin. We chose this because it offers the highest efficiency with regards to heat recovery. It also comes with built in monitoring devices to measure CO2 levels, adjusting the rate of extraction or supply accordingly.
The result was a safe and comfortable working environment for all radio station producers and presenters.
